To The Oceans of The World

We at Sven Radio would like to dedicate all of our music this week to those wonderful people who watch the oceans. It is important to keep the oceans clean. They are the very means of our survival on Earth. They cover 70% of the planet and contain roughly 97% of our water supply. The oceans of Earth serve many functions, especially affecting the weather and temperature. They moderate the Earth's temperature by absorbing incoming solar radiation (stored as heat energy). The always-moving ocean currents distribute this heat energy around the globe. This heats the land and air during winter and cools it during summer.

Sven's Dream of Paradise
The world ocean is integral to all known life, forms part of the carbon cycle, and influences climate and weather patterns. However, much of the ocean's depths remain unexplored and it is estimated that over 2 million marine species may exist that we know nothing about. So it is with little wonder that all of us should be vigilant. The pollution levels must be monitored, people must be made aware of the great beauty and depth of our magnificent oceans, and how enormously important they are to the human species.

Stop oil exploration in the oceans you damn fools!
