The Earth Dies Screaming

On the empty seashore the sea is purple and the sky is orange, and the day is drawing to a close. Here in Sven Land we gather our meagre crops, the result of a wet summer. We try to remain optimistic and hope that somewhere new ideas will be born in the minds of politicians who do not understand their actions. There is no greater cruelty than poverty. No greater cruelty than being unable to feed your children. Many years ago the band UB40 brought out an album called "The Earth Dies Screaming" and that is what it feels like in Sven Land today. Are we not men and women who deserve a better future for all of our children? The Earth is warming up, the contribution to this warming by the burning of fossil fuels cannot be ignored. Alternative energy to power the vehicles and drive the turbines of heavy industry are being ignored. Our homes and our cities can run on the harnessed energy of nature, an energy that certain people seek to deny for their ulterior motives. The greed of the petro-chemical industry is not an option. A lot of people don't even know what is happening. A lot of people don't even realise they don't know what is happening. It is time for the masses to awaken

Stand up, all victims of oppression
For the tyrants fear your might
Don't cling so hard to your possessions
For you have nothing, if you have no rights

Love and peace forever - Red Sven
